Hi David, I contacted a pest control company and was told that there is a $450 charge, plus $50 for every squirrel. Also they do not do any repairs regarding entrance holes. They recommend a contractor to patch the holes. Unfortunately, I am on a fixed income, and there is no way I can afford this fee. I hear scurrying around which sounds like "many" animals, and I also hear moaning like a baby cry. This is quite eery, and I am wondering if there is anything that can be done in a more affordable way. Please let me know, thank you.
I have a squirrel right now trapped in my basement, still looking for ways it got into the house. Your site calmed me down a bit and gave me some ideas, I have two live traps ( in need to use peanut butter tonight when I get home, just have apples and cookies in there now) set up now and have closed the toilet seat to remove water source. No damage yet. If I can't trap and relocate do you ever recommend a good size hunting dog or a cat to catch the animal. I can only imigine the mess that would create. Hi Dave.....my name is John ....pretty sure I have a squirrel in my attic..... I inspected the soffit...seems intact...I think he might be getting in under my aluminum ridge vent....how do I install a one way trap on that?.... Any suggestions?
Hello David, I've seen your excellent website and I have a question for you. First my situation is I have squirrels scampering on the ceiling (not an attic). Next week the whole roof is being redone in one day by a group of many people). Would that disturb the squirrels enough for them to vacate before the roof is finished and sealed up? Would any babies be left behind?
